After fans were very disappointed with the end result of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, WB Games and Rocksteady are trying to make one final move to bring players back to the game.
According to some rumors and insider sources, the canon story of the game will change drastically thanks to some plot twists that will arrive in the upcoming seasons. The studio will bring back very important characters to draw players attention and increase sales. This is the average strategy for all live-service games: make more content post-game.
Rocksteady and the Controversy Surrounding Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League
After the failure that meant Gotham Knights for WB Games and DC Comics base titles in general, the company really needed the next game to sell well; unfortunately, this did not happen, and it was another flop for WB.

When first announced through a cinematic trailer, a game about the popular Task Force X sounded good, but the first gameplay revealed a looter-shooter experience, and fans really started to lose hype.
On X, journalist and insider Miller Ross shared some interesting information about the future of this title on the thread below. Apparently, WB Games is looking to make some real changes to the main story of the game so players can get to the game.

Players seem very skeptical about this, especially because all the impact that the story had in the beginning will be gone just to make fans happy about some particularly important characters not being dead or the fact that they were “clones.”
Will This Be the Final Attempt to Revive the Game?
Ross said that Rocksteady is aiming to make sure that all of the dead or controlled characters are some kind of clone and the real ones are in different universes being captive.
Fans don’t know what to think about it; the studio is really desperate to make this game work, and they will do anything, even change the original story. This is not unusual in a live-service game; there is no final cut to the story, and the next season will bring a new chapter.
The first season of the game is live, and WB Games has planned at least four more seasons of content. Ross said that by season 5, several members of the Justice League will be available as playable characters. This kind of move makes the name of the game have no meaning. There are two possible scenarios: the game revives after these new additions and changes to the story, or players just don’t play the new content and the title will be finally dead.
This kind of change is living proof of how not to manage a game or your fan base. WB Games is making some very bad decisions regarding DC Comics characters and games. This company really needs to take a step back and listen to the fans. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will probably never recover from the bad release, and the fans will have to wait a lot of years for a new solid title from these characters.
