Rosario Dawson plays the role of Ahsoka Tano in the highly anticipated series of this year named Ahsoka. Although before Dawson’s casting as the live-action Ahsoka, the character has lived on for quite a bit through the voice of Ashley Eckstein in The Clone Wars, Rebels, and Tales of the Jedi. Despite the long history of the character, the actress on the other hand also isn’t a first-timer in the shoes of Ahsoka. Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Dawson herself has graced the screen as the coveted character.
While this subtle detail may escape the eyes of many, it certainly won’t dodge the watchful eyes of dedicated Star Wars fans. Therefore, here is everything that is known about this fascinating detail.
This Is How Many Times Rosario Dawson Appeared as Ahsoka on Screen
Rosario Dawson before this has appeared two times as Ahsoka in Star Wars. Her debut as the character which also marked the first time fans witnessed Ahsoka in live action took place in The Mandalorian Chapter 13, titled The Jedi. To delve further, Chapter 13 occurs at a point in time preceding the Rebels Season 4 Epilogue, where Ahsoka is seen donning the iconic white robe. Although the precise timeframe remains uncertain, but insights from the Ahsoka series suggest that her quest to locate Ezra commences a few years after the events of Chapter 13.
Following Chapter 13, Ahsoka again made a reappearance in The Book Of Boba Fett miniseries, specifically in Chapter 6 titled From The Desert Comes a Stranger. This epic episode granted a seemingly impossible desire that many fans begged for over the years, and that is Ahsoka’s encounter with Luke Skywalker. Although the details of their initial contact and the exact timeline are yet again a mystery to uncover, it was during this encounter that Ahsoka visited Luke and witnessed the construction of his Jedi Academy.
After this, the actress starred in her own show, making a total of three times donning the character to date.
Rosario Dawson Is Here for the Long Run
Ahsoka undoubtedly stands apart from the typical characters in the vast Star Wars universe. Bringing this character to life is an exceptionally challenging task, primarily because she is kind of a lone wolf, lurking in the gray areas in the eternal struggle between good and evil. Speaking to Vanity Fair, the actress stated,
“I do know that everyone talks about Ahsoka the Gray and Ahsoka the White and all these different things,–There’s an idea about her wisdom—and how does she get there? I don’t know. But it’s going to be really fun to find out.”
She further stated,
“As long as they want me, and as long as it’s possible, I’m in it.”
She also further acknowledged the sense of importance in ensuring that Ahsoka’s story reaches audiences worldwide, and she stands determined to witness its end, regardless of the time it may require.
