When asked what his 2011 film taught him that prepared him for his role in the Deadpool film, he shared,

“Well, script. When we shot Green Lantern, nobody auditioning for the role of Green Lantern was given the opportunity to read the script, because the script didn’t exist.”

He continued,

“I’m not complaining about it — it was an opportunity of a lifetime, and if I were to go back and retrace my steps, I would probably do everything the exact same way.”

The Proposal star stated that his screenplay for the X-Men film series was different especially the fact that the first superhero film didn’t even have a script. The film was unable to retain fans for a long time and grossed $220 million listing it among the biggest box-office bombs in history. However, it became quite a fortune for the main star as his life got lively due to his co-star!

Despite the film gaining negative reviews from the critics and viewers, it was the best thing that ever happened to the co-stars, Reynolds and Blake Lively as their relationship started from there only.

The pair first met while filming the movie in 2010, and began dating in the fall of 2011. By October of that year, fans have already suspected that the co-stars might have turned their relationship to the next level. Their relationship soon got public with the duo secretly tying the knot in 2012 in South Carolina.
