Celine Dion fans are startled and concerned for the singer after she canceled her music tour due to a medical ailment. Dion revealed that her physical condition is making it impossible for her to perform during her global music tour. She has a rare neurological illness that is also reportedly incurable. Dion is affected by Stiff Person Syndrome.

The singer took to Twitter to discuss her current health difficulties, informing her fans that she will not be performing on her upcoming music tour because she is unable to sing due to her illness. Dion lost her husband in 2016 before being diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome. It was one of the most miserable times of Dion’s life.

Celine Dion says she is sorry to disappoint her fans

Celine Dion announced to the public in December 2022, via an emotional video, that she had been diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome. She further stated that because this condition has impacted her vocal cords, she will be unable to perform during her February 2023 music tour. The To Love You More singer began her Courage globe tour in 2019 and performed 52 concerts before the pandemic. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with a rare neurological condition just before she was about to return to the stage.   

The 55-year-old singer recently canceled her tour, stating her health condition is affecting her daily. In her Twitter post, Dion wrote in the caption,

“I’m so sorry to disappoint all of you once again… and even though it breaks my heart, it’s best that we cancel everything until I’m really ready to be back on stage… I’m not giving up… and I can’t wait to see you again!”

Dion also had a message for her fans in the same post where she announced the cancellation of her 2023 and 2024 Courage Tour. The I’m Alive singer stated,

“I’m so sorry to disappoint all of you once again. I’m working really hard to build back my strength, but touring can be very difficult even when you’re 100%.”

Before Dion was diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome she lost her husband in 2016. For Dion, it was one of the most depressing moments of her life.

Ryan Reynolds asked Celine Dion to record a track for Deadpool 2

Dion was already suffering from the loss of her husband’s death when Ryan Reynolds convinced her to make a comeback. The Deadpool star asked Dion to write and record a song for his 2018 film Deadpool 2Ashes from Deadpool 2 was written and recorded by the singer. Reportedly, the Red Notice actor is the one who encouraged Dion to move forward with her courage tour in 2019.

In 2022, December, Dion released a video in which she explained her health condition to her fans. She said,

“As you know, I’ve always been an open book. And I wasn’t ready to say anything before. But I’m ready now… ’I’ve been dealing with problems with my health for a long time, and it’s been really difficult for me to face these challenges and to talk about everything that I’ve been going through.”

Dion recorded a song recently for Priyanka Chopra Jonas’s movie Love Again and the song is also named Love Again. This was the first song Dion recorded after she revealed she has Still Person Syndrome.
