Samuel L Jackson to Play Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Son-in-law Chris Pratt’s Dad in Upcoming Sony Movie with Disastrous Prequels

MCU stars Samuel L Jackson and Chris Pratt once again come together for the upcoming animated film Garfield. The movie is based on a comic strip of the same name. Many A-list actors have come on board to bring the comic book characters to life.

A new character has also been introduced in the upcoming film, which will get the voice of legendary actor Samuel L Jackson. Looking at the poor performance of the prequel to the movie, it’s hard to bet on the sequel to the film. However, the star-studded cast of the film can entice the audience to give it a shot.

Samuel L Jackson joins Chris Pratt in the upcoming film

Marvel star Samuel L Jackson is once again set to bring an animated character to life by lending his voice. The actor’s voice will feature in the upcoming animated film Garfield. Jackson will lend his voice to a brand new character, Vic, who is Garfield’s father.

Vic has been introduced in the film for the first time, as the character does not exist in the comic strip or previous movies. This isn’t the first time Jackson has lent his impactful voice to a character.

Before this, he voiced iconic animated characters like Frozone in The Incredibles, Whiplash in the 2013 film Turbo, and Jimbo in the 2022 film Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank. Along with Jackson, the film consists of some iconic actors like Chris Pratt, Nicholas Hoult, Hannah Waddingham, and many more. Pratt will be seen portraying the lead protagonist, Garfield, in the film.

Garfield makes a comeback

The upcoming animated film Garfield is based on the comic strip of the same name. However, this isn’t the first time the makers have decided to bring the film version of the comic book to the screen. Previously, the animated film titled Garfield: The Movie was released in 2004, and following that, its sequel was released in 2006.

The film starred Bill Murray, who played the role of the orange cat, Garfield. Both films did well at the box office; however, they received negative reviews from critics. The film is once again back with a very talented star cast. And now it would be interesting to see if the actors involved in the film can save the film from drowning. 

The movie is scheduled to release on May 24, 2024.
