The Marvel Studios extended its cinematic universe with Disney+ shows and special editions like Warewolf by Night. The most recent addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe is the Samuel L. Jackson starrer Secret Invasion. The series has faced criticism for using AI-developed opening credits. As the series landed fans criticism in the beginning, it ended on the same note as well, as fans note that the series finale seems too rushed.
Following Nick Fury in a war against Skrulls as they slowly try to invade Earth, the sixth and final episode of the series was finally released this week. And fans have once again shared their disappointment with another Disney+ MCU series, as it defies the possibility of having a post-credit scene.
Secret Invasion Does Not Feature a Post-Credit Scene
Marvel Cinematic Universe has had the tradition of featuring a pot credit scene with the very first movie, Iron Man, where Nick Fury approaches Tony Stark to discuss his Avengers initiative. The same has been followed since, with every other movie and show connecting each other and establishing the massive MCU.
However, the Samuel L. Jackson starrer Secret Invasion has broken the years-long tradition of the studio. The series has become the first MCU show to not feature a post-credit scene. Fans did expect to have at least one post-credit scene in the series, as it has ties with the upcoming movies.
The show has significant connections to both the 2019 film Captain Marvel and its upcoming sequel, The Marvels. However, fans are disappointed with the absence of any post-credit scene. Jackson’s Nick Fury has had a significant role in Captain Marvel and is also set to reprise his role in The Marvels.
Considering it, the series could have featured anything regarding The Marvels to fill up the empty space post or in mid-credits. If not the Captain Marvel sequel, it could have also featured some of the prominent characters introduced in the series itself, like Gi’ah, or an insight into Rhodey’s situation.
Secret Invasion Finale Feels Too Rushed to Fans
Starring an ensemble cast including Samuel L. Jackson, Emilia Clarke, Olivia Colman, and Kingsley Ben-Adir, along with others, Marvel’s Secret Invasion was released as a limited six-episode series. The series had a great start with bringing Nick Fury back from S.A.B.E.R. to stop Skrulls’ invasion.
However, the finale of the series seemed to have squeezed a lot of things into an approximately 40-minute episode. Fans have also claimed the same, as they shared that the studio needs to get rid of the “6-episode format.”

Others have pointed out that not only does the finale seem rushed, but it also does not feature any cameos or post-credit scenes. They have also urged the studio to stop following the same pattern as it led to the disappointing finale of the series, which could have been one of the best in the franchise.
