Sandra Bullock turned down a superhero film for her son

The Oscar winner graced ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live Show for promotion of her movie The Unforgivable. The actress revealed on the show that she was once in the running for a role in a comic books-based film, however, she had to turn it down for the sake of her son Louis.

Bullock said,

“I was approached for something that wasn’t Marvel, but my son said not to do it.”

Without revealing the character, she shared that the role was not related to Marvel or the DC universe.

“It was kind of in the place that Louis felt I shouldn’t be… and he was actually right. I saw it when it came out and I was like, ‘Ooh! That’s unfortunate.'”

The Gravity star left some clues for her fans. She said that her son Louis was about 6 years old when he urged her to not take up the role and he was 11 when she came to the show. It would mean Bullock around the year 2016. On being asked by Kimmel, she added,

“I forget their ages often, so it could’ve been 4, it could’ve been 7 or 8.”

Bullock added laughing that the fans will figure it out soon.

Sandra Bullock once considered playing Wonder Woman

In the interview, host Kimmel brought up the topic of superheroes and the rumors that she was in the conversation for appearances in Spider-man movies. Reportedly, she was supposed to play the comic book character Madame Web. Bullock revealed she was never approached by Marvel for Spider-man films.

Bullet Train actress said,

“I don’t think I’m Marvel material.”

Sandra Bullock shared in a 2009 red carpet interview with MTV that once she had considered playing the role of DC superhero, Wonder Woman. Variety reported in 1999 that Warner Bros. and producer Joel Silver wanted Bullock to play the Amazonian warrior of DC Comics, but she insisted that other people were better suited to play Wonder Woman.
