Becoming one of the biggest heart-throbs by the end of the 20th century, Brad Pitt has a rich filmography ranging from grim dramas such as Se7en and crime thrillers such as Ocean’s Eleven. Though slowing down in recent years, the actor still manages to star in some pretty interesting films.
What’s in the dream?
An actor known for his charm and macho presence, especially due to his casting in Fight Club, he has been oddly experiencing some terrifying nightmares. In an exchange with GQ, Brad Pitt states:
“……. the most predominant dream I would experience would be getting jumped and stabbed. It would always be at night, in the dark, and I would be walking down a sidewalk in a park or along a boardwalk and as I’d pass under an Exorcist-like street lamp, someone would jump out of the abyss and stab me in the ribs.”

Furthering establishing the origin of these thoughts was where the interview took place. He met the interviewer at his place outside of LA, describing the stories he heard from previous owners. One of them was Cassandra Peterson, who claimed she saw the ghost of a nurse and many more.

Eventually figuring out a way to stop the nightmares, Brad Pitt states he released why these dreams occurred in the first place, he comments:
“My interpretation of the stabbing dreams were on the surface about fears, feeling unsafe, completely alone—but beneath it all they mostly seemed to be about buried needs—those aspects of self that weren’t allowed to bloom as a child—like healthy anger, individuality, or especially a voice.”
Brad Pitt and his rich Hollywood legacy
Despite the actor’s star power, he feels like he has sufficiently enjoyed his career, charting the final stages of his versatile career, he said:
“I consider myself on my last leg… this last semester or trimester. What is this section gonna be? And how do I wanna design that?”

Further commenting on what it means for him to end his career and how he reconciles those emotions with his nightmares, Brad Pitt contends:
“Out here in California…. there’s a lot of talk about ‘being your authentic self.’ It would plague me, what does ‘authentic’ mean? [For me] it was getting to a place of acknowledging those deep scars that we carry.”
