Achieving success in the horror genre and keeping the audience engaged is undoubtedly a challenging task. However, films like Saw have brought a unique dynamic to the horror/thriller genre, thanks to filmmaker Kevin Greutert, who has been involved in the saga since its inception.
With the release of its tenth film, the future expansion of the franchise appears uncertain. In a recent interview, Greutert shared insights on the franchise’s future, expressing his own doubts about the possibility of launching a new film.

Will there be an end to the Saw franchise?
After delivering nine successful hits, the tenth installment of the Saw franchise is all set to mark its release. But what about the 11th, 12th, 13th, and so on films that fans are eagerly anticipating? Well, the director of the franchise Kevin Greutert shared some insight on that, however, it’s not very thrilling for the fans. Recently during an interview, the director said,
“There’s no obvious new direction to go after this film. But I think there probably will be more Saw movies, particularly if this one is successful.”

The upcoming Saw X will focus on the menacing story of John Kramer, with Tobin Bell returning as the lead protagonist. While this film appears to provide a fitting conclusion to the franchise, the intriguing plot of Saw is never quite enough for fans. However, it seems that there is no definitive future planned for the film series, according to Greutert.

The Saw franchise is a renowned and long-running series of horror films centered around the sadistic serial killer John Kramer, also known as Jigsaw. While there was a fraction of the audience that criticized the franchise for depicting extreme violence and bloodshed, the films also garnered praise for its suspenseful storytelling and complex characters.
