Following rumors that Xbox would lose several exclusive games, PlayStation fans were eager to see what games would come to the Sony platform. Microsoft later revealed that Sea of Thieves would be one of these titles. Rare’s game, currently one of the most popular on Xbox, will make its PS5 debut later this month.
According to the game’s social media, the closed beta is a complete success, foreshadowing incredible sales for the game. This is the second great pirate game that launched this year on the Sony console; the first one was one of the recent failures of Ubisoft, Skull and Bones.
After the Skull and Bones flop added a new failure to the Ubisoft list, Sea of Thieves will save PlayStation players
Microsoft’s strategy has changed drastically; the Xbox owners are trying to increase sales with exclusive IPs as quickly as possible by launching titles on other platforms. Games like Hi-Fi Rush, Pentiment, Grounded, and now Sea of Thieves were the first four to be available on other consoles. Later this month, the popular pirate co-op will finally reach PS5, and apparently, the projections are very positive.
Sea of Thieves is one of the first games to make the whole pirate-crew experience possible, with amazing mechanics that are very fun with friends. Controlling your own ship and going on complicated missions is what players are looking for in a game of these popular rascals.
The @PlayStation 5 Closed Beta is currently experiencing a high volume of new players, which may result in longer waiting times than normal as pirates enter the Sea of Thieves. Thanks for your patience, everyone! https://t.co/4Djsg7lkwn

Closed beta numbers anticipate great success
Thanks to the posts on social media about the game, fans will be really happy about the sales of this game on PS5. A post on X said the following:
The PS5 Closed Beta is currently experiencing a high volume of new players, which may result in longer waiting times than normal as pirates enter the Sea of Thieves.
This means that the number of players once the game launches will be huge, and the community will grow even more.
This beta was for all the players who pre-ordered the game. The PS5 will release Sea of Thieves on April 30, featuring a wealth of content that complements the current season of the game.
This pirate adventure has a lot of islands and treasures to find and share with your crew. This title made its debut on Xbox One and PC in 2018, nearly six years ago. The game is alive and full of content.
Rumors keep circulating about new exclusive Xbox titles launching on other platforms, especially PS5. Many insiders talk about Halo or even Gears of War.
Phil Spencer, the head of this brand, said there are no plans for more games to be released outside the Xbox ecosystem, but he later made the opposite declaration. So this could change again at any moment; the Microsoft gaming console needs to make more sales.
