Spider-Man Could Be the Only Superhero Aware of All Incursions in Avengers: Secret Wars

Ever since the events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Darkness, Marvel Studios has shifted its focus to the multiverse. Evidently, it means that Avengers 5 and will undoubtedly tackle this issue.

If the MCU stays true to Marvel Comics, Avengers: Secret Wars will undoubtedly feature multiple realities colliding with each other, thus causing a plethora of incursions. Now, most characters in the MCU will lose grasp of reality due to the aforementioned incursions.

However, thanks to Spider-Man’s spider-sense, Tom Holland could keep track of the multiversal incursions. A small application of this ability was seen in action when Peter Parker’s spider-sense passively detected disturbances and anomalies in the Spider-Verse.

Considering the fact that incursions can wrap reality, the same principle could apply to Spider-Man passively being helped by his spider-sense to know what’s real and not in Avengers: Secret Wars.

If this theory turns out to be true, it will undoubtedly make Tom Holland’s Spider-Man arguably the most important character in the MCU in the future. However, Marvel still needs to figure out a way to ensure that everyone remembers Peter Parker before the events of Avengers: Secret Wars.

After all, at the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Dr. Strange’s spell made everyone forget the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. As of now, only Peter Parker remembers himself.

Since then, the character has been somewhat sidelined in the MCU. Evidently, the audience is waiting for another Spider-Man film. While the 2021 movie did set up a plot for Tom Holland’s character in the MCU, as of now, there is no confirmation that a fourth Spider-Man film is under development.
