In February 2018, actor Chadwick Boseman appeared for an interview with The Guardian in London. During the interview, he was asked if had any sort of pressure on him while playing the role of T’Challa / Black Panther. The actor replied,

“You’re not thinking: ‘Don’t screw up’, exactly. It’s more positive than that. It’s more like: ‘Seize it. Enjoy it.”

That’s exactly what Boseman did throughout his MCU journey as the iconic character. The actor first appeared as Black Panther in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War, instantly becoming a fan favorite. Around this time, Boseman was diagnosed with colon cancer.

The actor was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016 but he continued to work, despite multiple surgeries and chemotherapy. Only his family members knew about his condition and he passed away on August 28, 2020, at the age of 43.

His work was T’Challa / Black Panther in 2018 Black Panther was loved by fans all over the world. The 2018 movie grossed over $1.3 billion worldwide, breaking numerous box office records, and was nominated for seven awards at the 91st Academy Awards, winning three.

As for Boseman, he was praised for his strong on-screen presence and charisma. The energy he brought to the film was intense, successfully introducing the audience to the iconic comic character.
