But one thing that everyone had expected and has finally shown up in this trailer is the mention of none other than Miquella. Yes, the demigod has been mentioned in the trailer. Fans are already writing their own fan theories about this game with full force, and one of them seems to paint a somewhat bloody portrait.

Did Miquella go with Mohg at his own will?

According to pretty much anyone that fans meet in Elden Ring, Miquella is someone with not much bodily strength. He is basically an ungrown child who keeps on trying to bring his body to its true or full form. In his efforts to do so, he builds himself a tree called the Haligtree, then embeds himself into that tree to grow the tree to its true form and do the same for him.

Before this process could be completed, though, someone came and carved him out of that tree. It was none other than Mohg, Miquella’s half-brother, who was also an Omen. It appears Mohg took advantage of the war and destruction caused by the breaking of the Elden Ring and fled with Miquella.

Miquella was seen as an empyrean by the greater will. This means the person who is capable of being a god and ruling the lands between. And Mohg wanted to rule the world too, and that’s why he decided to take Miquella in as his consort and tried his own ways to grow Miquella into full godhood. He is doing this until the very moment players come and kill Mohg.

In fact, Miquella is seen in his cocoon in Mohg’s boss arena. One hang hanging out looks like something that has lost all its life force. But was Mohg doing all of this with his own will?

A fan theory suggests that’s not the case, and Miquella actually went with Mohg out of willingness. Redditor ShadeOfSoulsAU points out that the cave where the teleporter that Mohg used to kidnap Miquella leads is too small for Mohg to set his foot in.

It is being suggested that maybe he had grown a great deal in Haligtree and then decided to bring himself to full force by joining Mohg. Well, now that Shadow the Erdtree is just months away, the answer to this question is not very far.

The best part is that Miquella is present in this DLC. Someone mentions him, and a mysterious character even shows up at the end of the trailer who has some godly ways about it. There are heavy chance that it is Miquella.

FromSoftware and Hidetaka Miyazaki are known for throwing some incredible surprises at their fans; maybe this confirmation would be one such surprise.

Some even suggested that Messmer is Miquella

Even crazier fans have gone on and suggested that maybe Messmer is Miquella. For those unaware, Messmer is the latest character to be seen in the DLC. He is one of the bosses and looks pretty powerful, too. A Reddit user, Dry_Cauliflower_8214, suggests that Messmer might be a fully-grown Miquella.

They suggest that maybe Mohg’s treatment of Miquella has turned him into Messmer. It can be a stretch, but he does look like Marika and Radagon. Let’s see what FromSoftware is planning to surprise its fans with this time around.
