During her recent interview with ReelBlend Podcast, the Hollywood star Rebecca Ferguson recalled her experience walking down her first red carpet. The actress shared that the first red carpet event she attended was the BAFTA Tea Party after she earned a nomination at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards for the TV series The White Queen.

Ferguson shared that she had no stylist and was overwhelmed by the “superficiality” of Hollywood. However, she was surprised when the photographers and everyone turned towards her. The Dune star shared that although she was “terrified” of the attention, she also felt a sense of excitement until she was told to move over as Cate Blanchett was behind her.

“All of these people like the photographers—then all of a sudden everyone looked over at me, and I was like, ‘Wow.’ This sound and my ego and me, it was like terrified it was amazing until someone went, ‘I’m so sorry Cate Blanchett is behind you would you just move over.'”

The actress further shared how she was mesmerized by the Blue Jasmine star, who did not walk but “hovered” out. Ferguson explained, “I remember watching her hover. She didn’t walk she f—king hovered.” As the show host suggested,“like the Baron [Harkonnen],” Ferguson agreed before adding that Blanchett did it more elegantly and dreamlike.
