Sandra Bullock played the role of Debbie Ocean— the estranged sister of Danny Ocean, played by George Clooney in the previous installments of the Ocean’s franchise. Debbie is the mastermind of the heist in the film as she attempts to pull off the greatest heist of the century, she brings a group of experts on the team. Bullock’s co-star and singer, Rihanna played the talented hacker, Nine Ball aka Leslie who helped the heist.

However, on June 5 at the premiere of Oceans 8, Rihanna reportedly made the A-lister stars adjust their schedule as she made them wait for the premiere. As per reports, the central casts of the film, Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Awkwafina, Helena Bonham Carter, and James Corden were all present for the premiere but they had to wait for Rihanna to start the film as she was late. Rihanna’s behavior enraged the Gravity star. “Sandra is all business,” an insider told InTouch. “The screening was supposed to start at 7, and they didn’t get inside for it until 7:40.”

The source close to Bullock further said that Bullock “was annoyed that Rihanna was not on time.”

“In order to get something greenlit, all the elements have to be there. It’s a chess match, and I didn’t think in a million years that it would work. And it was a while before it did happen, too. It was a long silence. And once you get everyone, you’re playing chess with everyone’s schedules,” Bullock told Refinery29.

The 28 Days actor is hopeful that more women are coming to make movies, “there’s been groups of women making movies,” she said. “I did one, [Practical Magic], about witches! There were a lot of us, and a lot of hair!”

“But it’s been going on. Not as frequently as we would like, although I think it will be more frequent,” Bullock said.

The actor further added that the movie is “a tentpole, fun, entertaining, funny ride, that’s supposed to give you release, and has a fantasy element.” Also, they had fun, “and we’re getting along, and we care about each other. Maybe that’s the difference,” Bullock said.

Ocean’s 8 was a success as it grossed over $297.8 million at the global box office.
