Kate Middleton and King Charles’ Comforting Bond Amidst Their Cancer Diagnosis

As per reports from PEOPLE, King Charles made his much anticipated public appearance on Sunday following his cancer treatment, where he led the Royal Family for an Easter church service at Windsor Castle. The King, along with his wife, Queen Camilla, arrived at St. George’s Chapel for the service, where they were greeted by the clergy upon their arrival.

However, following medical advice, the royal couple were seated apart from the rest of the family to minimize the risk of infection. The plans to attend the service by The Monarch were announced last week following speculation if he would attend following his cancer treatment. While His Majesty attended the service, Kate Middleton, William, and their children spent the weekend at home.

The reports from the news outlet state how The Prince and Princess took time to “explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis and asked for privacy during this time.” During her video message, she even said,

Middleton kept her medical condition private like The Monarch, and amidst this period, Sally Bedell Smith, the royal biographer, came forward to tell PEOPLE for their cover story about their bond. She said,

“He has always had a very good bond with her. I don’t think it is presumptuous to say that she is like the daughter he never had. He shares with William an impulse to protect her. They are in this together, Kate and the King.”

The news brings a sense of comfort to the people as the royal members are fighting the disease silently but together, considering when all of them share a strained relationship with each other.

Following her surgery in January, followed by a 13-day mandatory hospital stay. In her message, The Princess of Wales shared her gratitude for the skills of her medical team and acknowledged the difficulties faced by her family during this period. She said,

“This, of course, came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family…It has taken me time to recover from major surgery in order to start my treatment.”

She added,

“It has been an incredibly tough couple of months for our entire family, but I’ve had a fantastic medical team who have taken great care of me, for which I am so grateful.”

While intricated details about her diagnosis remain restricted, Middleton has started preventive chemotherapy as prompted by her medical team, which makes sure The Princess of Wales leaves the disease behind.
