A man of many talents, Snoop Dogg is arguably the biggest rap artist, business mogul, and actor. The artist has surely made a name for himself in over three decades, as he is considered to be the innovator of West Coast hip-hop, with his influence on a number of rhyme-spitter artists evident. Dogg became a renowned public figure when his debut album Doggystyle became immensely popular, catching the public’s attention.
While Snoop Dogg is popular for his rap career, film cameos, and hilarious personality, he is also known for his affection for the cannabis culture. However, he once smoked so much weed that he got the entire audience of Conan O’Brien’s show totally baked.
Snoop Dogg Gets The Crowd High As a Kite On The Late Night Show
During an episode of Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend podcast, the host was joined by the Shape of You singer, Ed Sheeran. The singer claimed that when he met Snoop Dogg for the very first time, he was joined by Russell Crowe, and they made him smoke so much that after a point he could not see straight.
Following the incident, Conan O’Brien shared his anecdote of the rapper from the 90s and 2000s of The Late Night Show, where Dogg showed up with a big entourage he was smoking so much pot in the dressing room, that the air got filtered in through the air vents getting the audience high as it was a relatively smaller studio.
“So this is a true story, Snoop Dogg did our show and he has his entourage, this is The Late Night Show, this is back in the ’90s and 2000s, and we’re at NBC and it is a relatively small studio. He comes with a big entourage, and they have one of the dressing rooms that’s adjoined the studio, and they all got into that dressing room, shut the door. And what I don’t know is they’re all, I mean they’re smoking so much pot, so intensely in this room that it’s getting filtered in through. I’m not kidding! Studio 6A this is a real thing.”
The host claimed that it was wrong on a number of levels as the crowd was constantly laughing. Moreover, one could smell the cannabis and it was your infant day, and he felt so “scr**ed up.”
“So, when I go out [imitating introduction music], ‘Hey, everybody, anyway you know, President Clinton today’ [hysterical laughter], and the crowd was laughing at the setups to the jokes. So I said, ‘Well, you know, there’s a bad earthquake in Alaska today [hysterical laughter].’ Jesus Christ! And the crowd was getting like getting high, and then you could like smell it, and we were like this is wrong on so many levels. It was bring your infant day, it was just so scr**ed up. I mean, what are you gonna do, when everyone understands that’s Snoop Dogg.”
While Conan O’Brien shared his anecdote, Ed Sheeran also shared his hilarious anecdote with Dogg, who made him smoke so many joints that at some point he lost his senses.
Snoop Dogg Got Ed Sheeran in The Clouds
In the same podcast, the singer shared that when he was in Melbourne with his wife and mother-in-law, he met The Beach Bum actor. He shared they were joined by Russell Crowe, who went into the dressing room and both Crowe and Dogg were going “blunt for blunt for blunt for blunt.” But at some point, he was tempted to smoke because he was with the Turbo actor, but he smoked so much that later, he could not see right.
“I’m like, I guess at some point during the night I have to, just to be like ‘I smoked with Snoop Dogg.’ So I kinda was having this conversation with him, this is good, like a good memory, like conversation, drinking my wine, blah blah blah. And he was like ‘Do you want some?’ I was like ‘Okay, now’s the time.’ we had a good amount of conversation, so I have a bit, and haven’t feel too bad like this is good, then I had a bit more, then have bit more. I just remember looking being like ‘I can’t see right.'”
Sheeran had the time of his, and when he shared a picture on his Instagram with the Bathtub rapper, it gained immense love from fans of both artists’ fans.
