Stellar Blade continues getting the internet to talk about the content of the game, with some users saying that it is just fan service that has almost no story or character development at all.
The protagonist of the game, EVE, is a very sexualized character, and even the director of Stellar Blade has admitted that she was made with features fans want. However, the controversy is not over, and Stellar Blade keeps making headlines about EVE’s body type. This has users genuinely asking, “what is the game about?”
What is more important, EVE’s Physique or Stellar Blade’s gameplay?
Hyung-Tae Kim, the CEO of Shift-UP Corporation, the studio behind the game, has already confirmed that EVE, Stellar Blade’s protagonist, is based on South Korean model, Shin Jae-eun.
Kim talked about how EVE was created for players, especially her body because the camera is always pointing at the rear of this character. That said, the gameplay and graphic quality of the title seem to be another great feature.
But some users on X have begun to ask if there is something more to Stellar Blade aside from EVE’s body. Many posts only discuss this one aspect and do not show any gameplay or talk about the story of Stellar Blade at all.

Because so far, all it looks like to me is softcore porn. Which is fine but… can anybody show me actual gameplay or story?

One X user even called the game “softcore porn,” saying the only things he saw were numerous posts about EVE’s body and almost nothing talking about gameplay or story.
A recent example of a game with the same kind of hypersexualized characters that had this kind of discussion was Nier Automata, which later became a cult classic, proving wrong that the devs were only focusing on the body of the main protagonist. Will Stellar Blade follow the same path?
The main plot of the game is about EVE, one of the last warriors who is alive to defend Earth from an alien invasion that has almost made all humans leave the planet for good. With EVE, you will have to defeat these aliens while you level up and unlock new abilities and moves to improve your combat skills. Stellar Blade will be released exclusively on the PlayStation 5 on April 26. No reviews have been revealed yet.
