Director Of Stellar Blade Talks About The Features Of His Latest Game

The name ‘Stellar Blade‘ in itself gives an idea about how the game will revolve around the use of swords and similar blades to be used to the player’s advantage. Mentioning the same, Hyung-tae Kim, in his interview said-

“Battles occur with an attractive female protagonist who uses a blade. We put practically everything you can do with a blade into the game. You get to use different combos and skills, but that doesn’t mean you can just thoughtlessly use them. Instead, you need to learn the patterns of the monsters and think about how you want to attack. It’s a bit of a back-and-forth between you and the enemies.”

The director talks about how the player will get to do a large amount of move set with blades in the game, but they would still need a little practice and will need to use various combos as intended in order to defeat the enemies. The player might need to practice a lot once the game comes out, as Stellar Blade was inspired by one of Hidetaka Miyazaki’s games, so there is most likely to be a sense of challenge and difficulty present in the title.

Stellar Blade demo has received a positive response from players as they await for full release.
The game will feature an extensive use of blades, along with melee and other shooting weapons.

The director has also further mentioned how Stellar Blade allows the players to switch to third-person shooter mode where one can experience ranged combat along with the use of different items. This essentially means, in the director’s own words, how the game will allow you to experience all different kinds of action throughout.

Why You Should Play Stellar Blade Even If You Have Never Played An Action Game Before

What holds back the reach of many video games is the fact that the players of the gaming community tend to stick to their favorite genre of the game, whether it be open-world, MMOs, first-person shooter mode, or anything else. This leads to the game gaining a far less audience when compared to the potential it holds.

However, to ensure such an issue does not arise during the release of Stellar Blade, the director disclosed in the aforementioned interview how he has made the addition of various support features to make the game accessible. This will allow someone who has never played action games before to still experience and enjoy the game.
