Solo Leveling follows the story of Sung Jinwoo, an E-Rank hunter who gains the ability to level up his strength with the help of “the System” after every successful mission or task (provided by the system). The series is created around his journey through the various dungeons, where he tries to save the world and discover the root of his powers.

The anime series produced by A-1 Pictures was released on Crunchyroll from January 6 to March 30, 2024, and it received a lot of love and appreciation from the anime community. The series became the 7th most popular anime on Crunchyroll in terms of overall engagement, and one of the episodes of the series had the biggest debut on Crunchyroll ever.

The series recently got upgraded to the sixth rank after beating Attack on Titan with 253k reviews. The series is now right behind Spy x Family, Chainsaw Man, Jujutsu Kaisen, Demon Slayer, and One Piece. It also has a role-playing game called Solo Leveling: Arise that was announced in 2022 by the South Korean mobile game developer Netmarble. The game is going to be released worldwide on May 8, 2024.
