The power and title that Sung Jinwoo earns in the final episode is the monarch of Shadows. While the Solo Leveling anime fans might not know much about the power, the manhwa fans are truly aware of the real strength and ability of this title. It is going to be one of the most important elements of Solo Leveling in the future.

However, Sung Jinwoo is not the first user of the power. This power was first wielded by Ashborn, who was known as the King of the Dead. Ashborn is one of the most important characters of the series and the first-ever Shadow Monarch. His powers and abilities were unmatched, making him one of the strongest characters.

Sung Jinwoo Gains The Title of Monarch of Shadows

The previous episode revealed that Sung Jinwoo had a job change quest that needed him to defeat an army of knights, and the strongest among them was Igris, the Blood Red commander. After a lot of struggle and injuries, Sung Jinwoo was finally able to beat his opponent, thus promoting him to a Necromancer.

However, Jinwoo’s fight against the Knights and Igris earned him so many points that he instantly got promoted from a Necromancer to a Shadow Monarch. The Shadow Monarch is one of the strongest titles and powers that Solo Leveling has ever seen. And Sung Jinwoo will be the perfect candidate for it.

In Solo Leveling, there are nine different types of monarchs, with the Shadow Monarch being regarded as the strongest. Ashborn was the first Shadow Monarch in Solo Leveling’s history. This power is subsequently transferred to Sung Jinwoo, making him the world’s most powerful hunter of all mankind.

He acquires an endless array of skills, the most potent of which is the ability to build his own army out of the shadows taken from the deceased. The first Shadow soldier Sung Jinwoo gains Shadow extraction from is Igris, and as the story progresses, Jinwoo will only gain even stronger soldiers who will form his army.
