Some players are complaining about losing some of this game license. According to several Reddit users, a bug made all the purchased games disappear before a certain date without notice. Sony has not said anything about this bug, and they are not giving any help on how to restore game license on PlayStation.

Consumers around the world are facing a new and odd difficulty with digital ownership. Various videogames have been deleted from all kinds of stores because of licensing issues or other reasons, and players lost something that they purchased and got no refund or explanation whatsoever.

This will keep happening, and consumers have the right to be compensated for this loss. PlayStation is facing a new bug that makes numerous players lose purchase items before a certain date, and Sony is not doing anything about it. 

Thanks to a very detailed post on Reddit, user dSuds2342 describes how all the items purchased after the restoring license attempt within the PS5 menu are just not available for download or play. This user describes the difficulty and talks about how, after this restore license attempt, he lost everything before that date. 

He reached out to Sony with no answer at all or any kind of solution. This could affect any game that was bought on the PS4 or PS3. Players are investigating all of their purchased to what could be accessed and what couldn’t.

A very severe and frustrating problem on the PlayStation Store

A large list of users is being affected by this bug, and they have not received a response from Sony or PlayStation customer service. At the moment, more than 50 PlayStation users have reported this problem, but Sony has not made this public or even talked about it. This is not the first trouble regarding the PlayStation Store or PlayStation Network; Sony has faced severe issues like this before.

Sony and even the government will have to look for a solution to ensure that digital ownership is respected by the brand that has the store. In this case, Sony will always have to give every purchased item on the store to every user; it’s their right as customers and owners.
