Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 Has Gone Gold
Focus Entertainment has recently announced through their official Twitter handle that Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 has officially gone gold. That means this highly anticipated title has completed its development phase and is ready for production and release to the market.
This news also seals the release date, as after going gold, it’s highly unlikely that there will be any other delays. However, with the beta testing, that wasn’t the case, as Focus Entertainment had to cancel its open beta earlier in 2024.

With this news, the publishers have also announced the beginning of pre-orders for the game. As of now, the game is available to pre-order in a total of three editions: Standard, Gold, and Ultra. The Ultra Edition is only available for PCs and is priced at $99.99.
On the other hand, the Gold Edition is available on all the platforms, but the PC version of it costs $89,99, whereas the console version costs $99.99. Last but not least, the Standard version is priced at $59.99, which is again fit for all platforms.
The Ultra Edition of the game includes the base game along with the Ultramarine’s Champion DLC and the Season Pass. It will also receive the Macragge’s Chosen DLC, which will be available to play up to 4 days before release. In the Gold Edition, everything will be the same except the Ultramarine’s Champion DLC.
Fans Are Now Speculating about Their Rigs
Now, after the game has gone gold, the biggest discussion is the required system specification for the game. By looking at the captivating gameplay and stunning visuals in the recently revealed gameplay overview trailer, it’s a no-brainer that the game is going to be heavily graphics-oriented.
And to run this game on your machine, you will need some heavy-duty specs. Now, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox X/S users, there’s nothing to think about. The main concern lies among the PC players.

Another fan is waiting to upgrade his RTX 3070 only when the 50 series GPUs from NVIDIA come out. Till then, they think 3070 will be fine to run Space Marine 2 on 4K as the game supports DLSS or FSR.

There’s another 30 series fan on the line with an Intel i5 12th generation processor. This fan is also hopeful about running the game smoothly, as their system runs Baldur’s Gate 3 on medium settings.
And keeping in mind the graphical intensity of BG3, the fan’s thinking is not baseless at all. What are your system specifications to run Space Marine 2? Let us know in the comment section.
