Given that it’s been heavily rumored that a fourth Spider-Man film is in the works, the question that must be asked is who would be assisting Tom Holland with their star power in the film. Given that we have already gotten a teaser at the end of No Way Home with the piece of the symbiote that was left behind, there is one scientist who could mentor Peter and bring in the star power to a fourth Spider-Man film.

Pedro Pascal has been cast in more than a few critically and commercially hit films, such that Marvel Studios can bank on his star power when it comes to a fourth Spider-Man film. Given that we could be dealing with Venom in the MCU come Spider-Man 4, Reed Richards makes the perfect sense to be a part of the film.

Reed Richards is the first person Spider-Man goes to in Marvel Comics after acquiring the symbiote. This could be reflected in the film, given how close Spider-Man is to the Fantastic Four. After all, Johnny Storm, the Human Torch is considered to be one of Spider-Man’s most dear friends, and the Web-Singer has even served on the team numerous times in the absence of key core members.

Pascal’s Richards could find himself in a new world, and look to immediately purchase some property. While they are on the run, with no one knowing them, a sympathetic Peter Parker could help them out, hence beginning their friendship. It would be a nice role reversal, with Peter guiding an elder scientist, which could then return to normal come Spider-Man 4.

Reed Richards could take over the position left in the world by Tony Stark

Ever since Robert Downey Jr. exited the MCU, along with Chris Evans, the universe has struggled to find new faces to fit into the slots left vacant by Iron Man and Captain America. Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards could be one-third of the new trinity that leads the MCU into the next few phases.

Reed Richards would cover the science and exploration side of the MCU, covering Marvel Cosmic and whatever is left of the MCU in the wake of Avengers: Secret Wars. The character has the potential to have a similar arc to Tony Stark’s with a little bit of Captain America thrown in there.

Richards has always struggled with keeping work and family separate, and that could be the main conflict of his story, ending with him retiring with Sue, and letting the next generation of heroes take over.
