Even before Zendaya won an Emmy for starring in the popular HBO original drama Euphoria, she was a prominent figure in the Marvel film industry. Having said that, she is the only member of Sam Levinson’s series’ main cast who remains a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This will undoubtedly change if her Euphoria co-star, Sydney Sweeney, chooses to emulate Zendaya’s footsteps.
We are confident in Sweeney’s ability to carry out a variety of roles because of her work outside of the Cassie Howard role, such as her courageous performance in HBO’s The White Lotus. That is exactly the kind of talent Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel Studios, seeks in an actor when deciding who will play the next big Marvel characters on either the small or big screen.
Recently, the Madame Web star is also rumored to be joining the MCU, possibly as Felicia Hardy/Black Cat, a character who is set to upend Peter Parker’s ‘love’ life dramatically.

Things appear to be getting even more complicated for our favorite web-slinging hero as he becomes embroiled in a love triangle involving two powerful and mysterious women. Yes, the Spider-Verse is going to get even more convoluted with a love triangle in the upcoming Spider-Man 4 flick.
As revealed by a scooper on X, Sydney Sweeney, best known for her role in Euphoria, is reportedly set to join the MCU as Felicia Hardy/Black Cat, one of the main love interests of Holland’s Peter Parker.

While fans have been anxiously waiting for Peter and MJ (played by Zendaya) to finally have their happily-ever-after, it looks like the road to true love isn’t going to be easy for our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. As MJ begins to recall her past with Peter, Felicia will enter the picture, forming a love triangle that will keep viewers intrigued.
However, things are not as simple as they appear, as Felicia has her own agenda. With a history with Kingpin and a desire for vengeance, she is unlikely to go down without a fight. According to the scoop, Felicia seeks vengeance because Black Cat and her father have a history with Kingpin.
We recently saw Sweeney as Julia Cornwall/Spider-Woman in S.J. Clarkson’s Madame Web. The film failed to meet expectations at the box office (see Box Office Mojo). Anyway, Daniel Richtman on Patreon has confirmed that filming for Holland’s Spider-Man 4 is scheduled to start in late September 2024.
Tom Holland’s Enthusiasm for a Spider-Man and Miles Morales Collaboration
Last year, Tom Holland, who plays Peter Parker/Spider-Man, said in a Variety interview that his favorite Spider-Man film is Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
“I think the first ‘Spider-Verse’ movie is the best Spider-Man movie that’s ever been made.”
Speaking with Inverse to promote his limited series The Crowded Room, Holland acknowledged being “honored” to have introduced Miles Morales to the live-action Spider-Man film. In his words:
“I would be honored to bring Miles Morales into the live-action world. How we do that, I don’t know, but given the opportunity, I would jump at it.”
Is Miles Morales going to appear in Holland’s Spider-Man 4? Miles Morales could be a part of this forthcoming MCU flick, as it might delve into the concept of a multiverse. The Uncharted star also hinted at “some stuff going on” in the untitled Spider-Man 4 that he is “excited about”, though it is difficult to say for sure. Holland added:
“Whether or not it’ll come to fruition, who knows? But right now it’s looking pretty good, and we’ll just have to wait and see.”
For fans of the franchise, Spider-Man 4 is expected to be an exhilarating and emotional rollercoaster ride, with the return of well-known characters and the introduction of new ones.
