Well, not really. That’d make for a purely wholesome plot. However, a rumor that has spread on the internet talks about the plot of the upcoming Tom Hardy film and how Venom will be just a little bit different in the third part of the franchise.

Fans may remember that in the post-credit scene of Spider-Man: No Way Home Tom Hardy appeared in a cameo role. Sitting at a bar while writing on his notepad, Eddie Brock is transported into another universe but not before leaving a single specimen of the symbiote in this universe.

Well, this theory is centered around the fact that Venom realizes that Peter Parker will eventually grow up to become Spider-Man and kill him. As per a YouTube video by 3C Films, the alleged plot will contain Venom and Eddie Brock hunting Peter Parker in their own universe. Things take a turn for the worse when they realize that Parker is just 10 years old in their universe!

Although Venom wants to kill him, Tom Hardy’s character of Eddie Brock has a change of heart as he takes a young Peter Parker to the hospital for treatment. From the allegedly leaked synopsis, we could see that Eddie Brock will be a great babysitter. As much as we’d love to see Venom and Eddie Brock having a tough time with a 10-year-old baby, the allegedly leaked plot remains a simple rumor.

There has been no evidence that can confirm or deny this alleged plot leak. Hence, we recommend to take these rumors with a grain of salt. On the other hand, Hardy revealed in an earlier interview that he’d be a terrible Venom if he wasn’t excited about the idea of meeting Peter Parker in the MCU!

Tom Hardy Wants To Meet Peter Parker In The MCU!

Back in 2021 before the release of Venom: Let There Be Carnage, the world was already asking important questions to Sony and Marvel. With Venom and Spider-Man being sworn enemies, it is natural that the two should face each other sometime in the near future.

In an interview with  Esquire UK, Hardy sat down for a chat and talked about a potential tie-up with Spider-Man. When the interviewer asked him his thoughts about entering the MCU and facing Spider-Man, Hardy revealed that he’d be a pretty bad Venom if he wasn’t excited about that.

During the interview, Hardy’s statements seemed optimistic as he even reported that he’d be willing to do anything to make the collaboration between Venom and Spider-Man happen!

Obviously, that’s a large canyon to leap, to be bridged by one person alone, and it would take a much higher level of diplomacy and intelligence, sitting down and talking, to take on an arena such as that.

He further continued,

I hope and strongly, with both hands, push, eagerly, towards that potential, and would do anything to make that happen, within what’s right in business.

Despite what the alleged plot synopsis says, there is no proof of Venom and Spider-Man meeting in the cinematic universe yet (except in the post-credit scenes).

Tom Hardy’s Venom: The Last Dance is slated for a release date of 25 October 2024 in theaters across the U.S.
