According to recent rumors surrounding the highly anticipated James Gunn’s Superman: Legacy, the MCU actor Skyler Gisondo is reportedly being eyed to play an important role in the forthcoming movie. The actor who previously played Gwen Stacy’s brother in The Amazing Spider-Man films is now the center of Gunn’s attention.

Trusted scooper MyTimeToShineHello, recently shared a post on Twitter regarding Skyler Gisondo’s alleged casting in Superman: Legacy, that started the entire speculation. Following the initial tweet, several other accounts retweeted the same with Gisondo’s image alongside Jimmy Olsen.

Alleging that James Gunn has been trying to cast the MCU actor as Superman’s pal, the rumor is breaking the internet. However, as of now, Skyler Gisondo’s association with the DC Universe as the new Jimmy Olsen remains uncertain and yet to be confirmed.

While James Gunn’s upcoming Superman movie is set to be the first film installment in the rebooted DCU, it has confirmed David Corenswet as the lead actor for Clark Kent aka Superman.

Alongside Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan is to feature as Daily Planet reporter, and Superman’s love interest, Lois Lane. Currently in the pre-production stage with filming set to begin in early 2024, Superman: Legacy also confirmed actors like Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, Edi Gathegi, and Anthony Carrigan to play their respective roles in the movie.

James Gunn’s Superman: Legacy is set to be centered around Superman’s heritage, and is thus being described as a “workplace origin story”.
