The DC verse has been in critical turmoil for years now. Despite the characters, cast, and even occasionally good storytelling, the DC Extended Universe has been struggling to keep up with its arch nemesis MCU. With James Gunn and Peter Safran, there was a hope that DC might climb back up to its past glory.
