While the Keep Breathing actress earned massive acclamation from fans worldwide for this brave move of hers, this wasn’t too appealing to Spyglass, who ended up firing her from the Scream franchise, citing the reason as her ‘antisemitic post’, which fans claim is ‘absolutely incredulous’.

Thus, to save their reputation, Spyglass Media Group, the one in charge of producing the Scream film series, was reported to have tried to get into a meeting with Barrera to get her to make things right.
As reported by Critical Overlord, who got these details from their ‘Landing Source who knew he was directing or asked to direct’, Spyglass allegedly tried to make Barrera ‘punt fake on her beliefs and condemn certain groups publically.’ To put it simply, they tried to make her take back what she said.
However, being the incredible personality she is, Melissa Barrera reportedly refused to comply with their wishes and stood her ground, and just like that, Spyglass’ attempt at saving themselves from the backlash went down the drain.
