Squid Game 2 Potential Storyline

Squid Game season 2 may continue with Gi-hun story
Squid Game season 2 may continue with Gi-hun’s story

The new faces joining the show reflect the fact that the upcoming season will take surprising twists and turns following the premise of the first season. Gi-hun survives the deadly game making it to the end of the show which ended in a cliffhanger involving the character. He is conflicted with the classic hero’s dilemma in the final episode of the previous season dwelling on the decision of whether to move on with his life with his daughter or put an end to the deadly game. Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter Dong-hyuk addressed how the forthcoming season will continue the premise of Gi-hun’s storyline.

“Instead of trying to meet the expectations of viewers, I just thought about the last moment when Gi-hun turned away from boarding the plane, and I thought about what he will do next. There will naturally be a flow of events that will lead all the way to the end of the season. I can’t share any details yet, but you know that Seong Gi-hun has become a totally new person by the end of season one, so season two is going to be about what that new Gi-hun is going to do and how things will unfold with this new kind of character”

As of now, it is hard to assume a solid storyline for the upcoming season but certainly, the surroundings of the characters suggest how certain aspects are set to continue. The game could be even deadlier and more gruesome with Gi-hun fighting to end it by going to the root of the secret corporation. The first season of Squid Game is streaming on Netflix.
