Season 2 of Squid Game puts 432 contestants competing for 4.45 million dollars, aka a chance to make it in life. From among the many contestants, fans on social media are already picking up their favorites while calling out others for some reason or the other. One contestant who has been picked on recently is Contestant No. 299 named Spencer.

A software engineer by profession, he describes himself in the series as a ‘mama’s boy’ and pretty gullible and empathetic to a fault in nature. In episode 2 of the Netflix series, he was picked up to choose the Dalgona Candy shape for his group. His group visibly looked upset, knowing that he would not be faring well.

Going against his group’s wishes, he bravely selected the shape of the umbrella, which is commonly the most difficult one among all the four options. Well, things did not fare well and many of his group members were majorly angered by his decision.

Even 299 had a hard time separating the shape and just when he was almost done, he ended up breaking the shape, visibly having a mental breakdown upon his elimination. And fans were quick to label him dramatic.

Spencer knew not everyone would be happy with his decision to choose the Umbrella but for the sake of staying in the game and fulfilling his dreams of helping out his parents, he had to. The tension was high and he could sense the anger of his fellow contestants as they sat down for the Dalgona Candy game.

Things soon took a turn for the worse as many started getting eliminated and Contestant 299 started having a mental breakdown. When his candy broke down, he fell down crying. His reaction was enough for numerous X users to label him dramatic, with many even calling him a ‘dramatic b***h’. However, some seemed to be empathetic, encouraging him to seek mental help.

Squid Game: The Challenge can be streamed on Netflix now.
