The famed comics creator appeared in several MCU movies in his lifetime which was always a spectacular scene that many fans anticipated the most. Reynolds revealed the aspect of the film he would have liked Lee to have witnessed:
Oh boy, there’s some surprises in this thing that I cannot believe are not out or on the internet yet, thank God, but I think there are things in this film that we’ve been hiding that I feel like Stan would 100% yes.
Jackman also chimed, “And I wish he was in it too.” When asked what would have been Lee’s role in the upcoming Deadpool film, Levy responded, “I think, while we meet Wade selling used cars, I’d love to have seen Stan as one of the potential customers test-driving with Wade Wilson.”
That would have been a really nice cameo for the late artist who created so many beloved Marvel characters. Fans are definitely missing his surprise appearances that brought even more delight to the audience.
Stan Lee And His Iconic Marvel Cameos
While Stan Lee’s cameos were a significant part of the MCU, he has already appeared in Marvel productions as early as 1989’s The Trial of the Incredible Hulk. He made quite a lot of brief scenes in the ‘90s and early 2000s, such as in Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man trilogy and the Fantastic Four.

Lee appeared in each installment of the MCU franchise from Iron Man (2008) to Avengers: Endgame (2019), a total of 22 movies. But, of course, the figure is way higher if we are going to include his television cameos, the X-Men franchise, and the Sony Spider-Man Universe.
Speaking with Larry King in a 2018 interview, Lee said, “I just love everything that Marvel has done. They’ve taken the things that I created, and they’re making them look better than ever, and I’m getting the credit.”
The mention of Stan Lee will always bring nostalgia to fans, and it is perhaps a universal wish that he should have been in Deadpool & Wolverine. Lee and Wilson test-driving a vintage car is a cameo everyone would have loved to see.
Deadpool & Wolverine hits theaters on July 26.
