Thor: Love and Thunder director Taika Waititi, reveals what he knows regarding The Guardians of the Galaxy 3, after filming Thor 4. Apart from Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, and Tessa Thompson, Love and Thunder portrays the return of the Star-Lord and his crew to the MCU, who had appeared in the Avengers: Endgame. In Love and Thunder, Peter Quill, Drax, Nebula, Groot, and Rocket will appear with the God of Thunder, for action sequences that have been heavily featured in the campaigns. Does Taika Waititi know about the script or the plot of the Guardian of the Galaxy?
What about the Guardian squad?
The Guardians squad has become very popular since their debut as James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy, in 2014. They then joined the mainstream MCU with Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, and alongside with that their first two films got huge positive responses for their soundtrack, sense of humor, and their developing personalities. Star-Lord and his teams are getting another shot with Guardians of the Galaxy 3. This will be directed by Gunn and will release in 2023, although we don’t know anything about the plot.
What does Taika Waititi reveal about the Guardians of the Galaxy 3?
Taika Waititi wrote the entire script for the characters in Love and Thunder. What does he know about the Guardians of the Galaxy 3? Nothing at all. He said that he does not know anything about the plot because he has not talked to James Gunn about this film. He has never even read the script. All he did was write the characters the way he thought them to be, but Gunn said Thor wouldn’t say this and do that.

What do expect from the MCU regarding the films?
The fact that Taika Waititi did not talk to Gunn regarding the film may surprise the fans. Given their release date, it would be logical if the Guardian’s roles in Thor: Love and Thunder would be set up for their solo movie. As known, the Guardians of the Galaxy 3 should come right after Thor: Love and Thunder, following the timeline. The MCU films always follow the sequences, so it is hard to believe that she wrote the characters without knowing the plot because it will be weird to jump from one to another.
Hoping that the Guardians of the Galaxy will be free of plot holes, even though Waititi did not read the script. Hopefully, there will not be any major discontinuity between the two films. Maintaining the continuity has been challenging for Gunn because the MCU fans take the films seriously and won’t tolerate any plot holes. We can only deduce anything after the release of Love and Thunder, later this week. Until then, we don’t know anything about the plot or we cannot deduce anything.
