According to a tweet by Colteastwood, the game now features these colossal mechs that players will have to face off against, available via the mod. These mechs are massive and unlike anything else in the game, and dealing with them promises to be both thrilling and terrifying.

The addition of such the Creation Kit hopefully hints at the diverse and dynamic future for mods that can drastically change up the player experience, and introduce a bunch of new creatures and enemy types.

The modding scene will likely continue to flourish as it did with the console versions of Skyrim, with new mods emerging all the time.  Expect to see everything from bug fixes and performance enhancements to complete overhauls and improvements of the game’s mechanics.

Official mod support opens up endless possibilities for new content, gameplay tweaks, and crazy creations from the community. Whether it’s new missions, custom ships, or even more enemies and creatures, mods will likely keep the game fresh and updated for years to come.

Bethesda is known for supporting its games with tons of updates and expansions, and Starfield will be no different. Mod support went live earlier this month and will likely be going strong for several years. Todd Howard confirmed that the game is planned to be supported for a long time to come, with yearly expansions.

This year’s DLC will be Shattered Space. This expansion ventures into a region rumored to be affected by a strange and terrifying entity. Players can expect a darker, more suspenseful atmosphere as they explore the mysteries of House Va’ruun from the base game.

Bethesda has hinted at influences from classic cosmic horror like H.P. Lovecraft. Expect to encounter new creatures and enemies, maybe even some mind-bending phenomena, and a sense of dread as you explore the secrets of this expansion. Bethesda also confirmed a release window for it sometime in the fall of 2024.

In addition to mods and expansions, regular updates will bring quality-of-life improvements, bug fixes, and possibly even new features. Bethesda has always been good with listening to its community, and we can expect it to keep refining and enhancing the game based on player feedback.
