Starfield PC vs. Xbox Performance Comparison

The PC version of Starfield is definitely winning this round as it can run a lot better than its console counterpart if the players have all the system requirements fulfilled. The PC version is capable of running the game at 4k same as the Xbox Series X and can also get higher frame rates up to whatever the player’s rig is capable of.

If players with high-end systems try to run Starfield at 4k at the highest settings, they will not be able to go higher than 6o frames per second. However, it is possible for players to experiment and adjust the settings to take the best out of their PCs to enjoy the game with better graphics and visuals. The game brings a variety of graphics settings for players such as resolution scaling for better performance and dynamic resolution scaling that stabilizes the performance of the game by scaling down the quality temporarily for a bit.

Does Performance Mode Work on Xbox for Starfield?

There is no better way to say this so, No, there is no way players can change how Starfield runs on their Xbox and they also cannot choose between the quality mode and performance mode. Players will need to stick to the set performance of the game as there are no options to customize settings on the consoles for better performance.

Starfield runs a bit differently on the two versions of Xbox, Series X and S. On Series S, the game runs only at 3o fps and up to 1440p resolution whereas it can easily render 4k graphics on Series X but it is also locked at 30 frames per second. Xbox Series S also has a somewhat lesser draw distance with reduced-quality textures but besides that, both the Console versions of the game are pretty much the same.

Starfield, as of now, looks like the best stable game ever released by Bethesda Game Studios. However, there are reports of bugs and glitches which is kind of like a signature of Bethesda’s games, the game pretty much seems to be running well for most players, and also provides a sense of superiority to PC players with the graphics and performance mode.
