The Stellar Blade demo is the only way for fans to experience the game, and they are using it for all its worth until the release of the full title. The community has been so eager that they are performing challenge runs using suits and no items in the demo itself!
The reception to the demo is a clear indication of how eagerly fans are awaiting the game. But one person may have taken things a bit too seriously. So much so that even the developers are shocked by how much time he has spent in the demo.
Stellar Blade Fan Clocks an Insane Number of Hours in the Demo
Gamers have a knack for going beyond what is considered ‘normal’. This is evident enough with the kind of challenges people take on, such as using no healing items, to beat a game. That’s with the complete games, but one gamer has gone ahead and racked up 114 hours on the demo alone!
Including the cutscenes, the demo will take around an hour for most people to complete. This would mean the gamer has played through the Stellar Blade demo 114 times, give or take a few playthroughs. The demo is fun; there’s no doubt about that, but to play it that many times in less than 20 days is no small feat.
The achievement is so monumental that they have even been featured on the official X page for the game. Replies on the tweet suggest the gamer could have simply started the demo and left their system running for that amount of time to build their playtime. There’s no explanation as to why someone would do such a thing, but people are chalking it up to marketing.

Considering the demo is getting so much love, we can only speculate on how things will be when the full game releases. Stellar Blade is one of the most hyped PlayStation exclusives of the year and with good reason. The art style combined with fast-paced combat is exactly what many people in gaming are craving right now.
The Game Will be a Beautifully Challenging Experience
Stellar Blade’s demo allowed players to go up against some variants of the Naytiba, the hostile invading force seeking to destroy humanity. Coming from the mind of Hee-Cheol Jang, the monsters look grotesque, but there are tiny details in their design that could hint at their origin. However, spotting those details in the middle of a battle will be a challenge.
The monsters and the world are all part of a vision Hyung-Tae Kim had over ten years ago. His artwork, ‘EVE Twins’, contains all the elements we will see implemented in the upcoming PlayStation exclusive. The story will tell us more about the Naytiba and their purpose of attacking Earth.
Kim’s legendary character design is also reflected in the protagonist, Eve. The illustrator and CEO are not afraid of utilizing body features in their designs to ensure the character model is appealing to look at and fluid when in motion.
