Clocking in at a mere 30GB for the full game, it’s raising eyebrows among fans who have already dipped their toes into the game’s demo. Is it because of great optimization on Shift Up’s side, or is the game not as long as everyone had anticipated? That seems to be the latest topic of discourse in the community.

Stellar Blade’s File Size Blows Most AAA Games Out of the Water

Stellar Blade‘s download size is a blessing in disguise for people with terrible internet.

We live in an age where graphically intensive titles routinely drive file sizes to 100GB or more (and that’s even before it’s unpacked and installed onto your device). Stellar Blade‘s relatively petite file size is a huge departure from the norm.

For some people, the compact file size has raised doubts about the game’s scope and depth. Can the game contain the extensive gameplay experiences that players have come to expect from modern AAA titles within such a tiny package?

Already, some people are questioning whether the game is worth the hefty $70 price tag.

On the flip side, some say its small file size just goes to show how well-optimized it is. It’s truly a praise-worthy affair if a game can manage to deliver a polished experience without hogging disk space.

One user on X had a pretty reasonable explanation as to why the demo was only a two-hour experience, yet half the size of the full game.

The demo would’ve had a lot more content than we got to experience, most of it locked off from the player, but enough to ensure everything worked properly.

Of course, until the game is released and players have had a chance to dive into the full experience, it’s impossible to pass the final judgment. All we can do now is hope that the game isn’t as small as it seems to be.
