This has a lot of players hyped up as Sekiro: Shadow’s Die Twice was one of FromSoftware’s best Soulslike games, according to the gaming community, and that is completely understandable as it completely changed the formula of the genre, bringing in new mechanics and abilities that look to be an inspiration for Stellar Blade’s combat system.

Stellar Blade is an upcoming title from SHIFT UP Corporation that tasks you as the player to explore, kill, and save all manner of creatures, but to do this, players will have to use the rather familiar combat system that is used within the game.

The reason this combat is so familiar is the fact that it takes a little nod from Sekiro: Shadow’s Die Twice in terms of the deflecting, dodging, and abilities that players will have to learn. During a short video on Twitter/X, we received a small glimpse into how this combat will play out within the game itself, while also seeing some extra, unique mechanics that will be involved in the combat.

Throughout the video, we can see that deflecting is a major part of the combat system within Stellar Blade, but there are also a few other similar mechanics that appear within the game, as there is also a perfect evade mechanic, which slows down time when you evade, and there is also a mechanic that rewards you for deflecting a certain number of times.

Once you have deflected enough times, it opens the bosses up to the opportunity for a major attack. There is also the opportunity to avoid special attacks that will likely be un-deflectable and require the player to evade, similar to Sekiro.

Along With Unique Combat Mechanics, Players Will Also Feel the Power of Taking on Tall, Strong, and Scary Enemies

One of the best parts of Sekiro: Shadow’s Die Twice is the enemies and bosses that players had to battle as they progressed through the game. Stellar Blade seems to take inspiration from this, as the bosses in this game seem to be just as imposing as they are in Sekiro: Shadow’s Die Twice.

So far, we have only seen a few of the bosses that will be available to fight in Stellar Blade, but from what we can see, they will be some rather formidable opponents who will put us through the ringer with plenty of attacks that will keep us on our toes.

Thanks to the combat mechanics that will be available within Stellar Blade, we will be able to eliminate these foes with ease, but thanks to new mechanics like ranged weapons and unveiling weak spots to shoot, there will be plenty of unique ways to defeat these horrifying beasts.

What do you think about the combat system within Stellar Blade? Are you looking forward to taking on these unique enemies? Let us know in the comments what you think!
