Stellar Blade is drawing widespread fan speculation and conversations as its release inches ever closer. Some fans have drawn a few comparisons with Lies of P. The Elden Ring-inspired depiction of Pinocchio is holding up quite well to the about-to-be-released Stellar Blade.
At Gamescom 2022, Lies of P won three awards. It won the Best Action Adventure Game Award. It also bagged the Best Role Playing Game and Most Wanted PlayStation Game Awards. These awards proved the game’s immense popularity ever before its official release. Now, with Starfield set to come out soon, no wonder, fans are drawing comparisons despite the two games being very different.
Stellar Blade Leads To Lies of P Receiving More Plaudits
Stellar Blade has been making waves in the gaming community. Among the various reactions, it is regularly being compared with other games, most notably as its exaggerated development time was compared with Arkham Asylum
Lies of P is better than Stellar Blade in almost every way except maybe combat (SB actually holds up or might be better even). it is also much MUCH harder, but it has a much better story, vibe, characters, etc. Lies of P was a lowkey GOTY 2023. play Lies of P! https://t.co/5XqwDiESCL

This particular fan showed no qualms in declaring Lies of P better than Stellar Blade except for the combat mechanics. With over 222k views, the reply went viral among gamers as a number of players and fans spoke out on the issue.
it's more souls than DMC. the parrying timing is similar

When one fan questioned the comparison’s legitimacy, the post’s author explained the reasoning. The importance of parrying, which is a Soulslike feature, has been continued in Lies of Pi. However, the parrying in Stellar Blade is way more forgiving than other Soulslike games, further solidifying the author’s claims.
Lies of P was absolutely fantastic. Shamefully I only just completed it two nights ago… but it definitely solidified Neowiz as a top tier dev team and I can’t wait to see what they do with the wizard of oz if that ending is any indication of their next game.

The popular fan opinion shifted towards Lies of P. The game’s dark take on the supposed “golden era” of European history makes for an unforgettable and immersive experience for the players.
However, it would be unwise to write off Stellar Blade as the game has already garnered a massive fan following before its release.
Why Is Lies of P So Highly Rated
Lies of P featured some of the most player-decision-oriented gameplay experiences ever in the history of the gaming industry. With each lie or truth that you tell having consequences for your outcome, the game is an immersive roller coaster for players. The attention to detail in the game is exemplified in the fact that the creation of the King of Puppets took more resources than it takes to build to separate bosses.
It also gathered plenty of praise for not being just another clone of the Soulslike formula. Instead of relying completely on Hidetaka Miyazaki’s formula, the game added plenty of unique design elements and mechanics that set it apart.
Within 3 days of the release of its demo, the game had crossed the 100-million mark in downloads. It also crept into the top 100 most-played games list soon after its release. The upcoming release of Stellar Blade has sparked new conversations where Lies of P is being brought up, and rightly so.
