Sony has confirmed that PS5 big-budget exclusive games will not be coming out until 2025. However, there are some other low-profile games that will fill this gap; one of these titles is Stellar Blade. This game was developed by the South Korean studio Shift-UP Corporation.

The title generated some controversy for the hypersexualization of its protagonist, but it has accomplished something that not even Helldivers 2 could do. Amazon Germany has confirmed that the pre-order standard physical edition was sold out before launch.

Helldivers 2’s popularity will probably be overshadowed by the launch of Stellar Blade

Another exclusive PS5 game will probably make record sales. Stellar Blade is making some pretty good impressions among players. Fans and critics praised the demo launch a few days ago; reviews are not yet available. Less than three weeks before this action title is released. The studio behind this game, Shift-UP Corporation, has stirred up a lot of controversy since the last trailer and gameplay reveal.

According to Amazon Germany, the game has sold out pre-order standard edition copies. This is the first time in a long time that an exclusive PlayStation title has accomplished this. Not even games like Helldivers 2 made this kind of sale during their previous launches.

The numbers for the South Korean game will probably pass a million sales in a short period of time. The studio is thrilled with these projections.

Stellar Blade has caused a lot of controversy in the last couple of weeks, thanks to some design decisions regarding the body of the female protagonist, EVE, and how the camera is always aiming at her butt.

Not only does the camera constantly focus on the main character’s body, but the studio also prominently displays the physics of her breast, a detail that is highly noticeable. Even the director of the game has admitted that this was on purpose.

Helldivers 2 is the other PlayStation exclusive that is making record-breaking sales; apparently, there are more than 8 million sales reported for this title. Arrowhead Game Studios has not given any information about this. When it launched, the game sold more than 1 million copies in just four days. Stellar Blade is aiming to surpass these numbers, but nothing is written yet; the possibilities are real.

Shift-UP Corporation will exclusively release the game on PS5 on April 26. The game will center on EVE, a human survivalist who wants to take back Earth from an alien invasion that has made humans almost leave the planet completely. This will be an action title with RPG mechanics that will enhance the abilities of our protagonist, including new attacks and powers. This will be the third great exclusive PlayStation game.

I'm a big fan of movies and videogames in general. I really love Pokémon and Godzilla. One of my favorite games is The Last of Us, Part II. A compelling and well-written story is always welcome.
