Shift Up’s Stellar Blade has proven to be the most surprising and biggest gaming success story of the year. After battling plenty of controversies ahead of its release, many thought the game would have a hard time sticking the landing. However, it smashed all expectations.
Surprisingly, Stellar Blade hit the shelves, missing one of the most crucial features, a photo mode. While it’s confirmed that Shift Up is working hard to release the feature in a future update, it has teased a brand-new mechanic for it, which could change the way players capture memories in the game!
Stellar Blade Photo Mode Might Have Posing Options For Players
When Stellar Blade debuted at the end of April 2024, the lack of a photo mode was quite shocking. A game that focused so much on its visuals didn’t have a proper photo mode; it just didn’t make sense. Of course, Shift Up assured that it would add a photo mode if requested by enough gamers.
As it turns out, the developers are going to make good on that promise soon. The game will finally get a photo mode! In the last few weeks, Shift Up has been teasing the feature, which will now introduce an exciting mechanic.
With the teaser, it seems Shift Up is working on bringing posing options for the upcoming photo mode.
There’s no doubt that a posing mechanic in Stellar Blade photo mode will allow gamers to capture and share personalized and dynamic moments, showcasing their creativity.
Over the years, many games have included this feature for detailed character actions and expressions, which makes in-game screenshots even more engaging.
With the next Stellar Blade update, this mechanic will allow for creating more in-game memories and adding depth to Eve’s adventure. Even the game’s content creators will be able to produce beautiful content and offer viewers a more immersive experience.
Stellar Blade Will Soon Feature a Large-Scale Collaboration

It’s not only a photo mode. In Shift Up’s IPO conference, the developers also revealed that a “large-scale collaboration” would be coming to the game at the end of the year. As of now, it’s still not clear who or what kind of crossover this will be.
However, many in the community have speculated that this crossover will be with NieR: Automata, considering Stellar Blade’s similarities to the title and the good rapport shared between Platinum Games and Shift Up.
The developers have also confirmed that the game will receive “additional DLCs” and “sequels” after 2024. The additional expansions could simply be more outfits, but a DLC featuring Lily might be a phenomenal addition to the base game.
The fact that Shift Up has already announced “sequels” means that the developers are planning multiple installments for what could become the Stellar Blade franchise.
