One of the few PS5 exclusives this year will be the former Project Eve, now known as Stellar Blade. This third-person action title with some similarities to games like Devil May Cry is being developed by SHIFT UP Corporation, a small South Korean studio.
The game was announced back in 2022 with the codename Project Eve, and there is not much more information about the game. In the latest State of Play, the release date was finally revealed. The file size of Stellar Blade was revealed in a leak and is a weird number for this kind of game.
Is Stellar Blade Not Large Enough?
As a new third-person action game, Stellar Blade looks very promising, with spectacular gameplay that will have hack and slash fans very happy with the combat style that this title has.
An alien invasion makes humans leave Earth, and with Eve, they will try to recover the planet as the last bastion of humanity on Earth. SHIFT UP Corporation, the South Korean studio behind the game, has a very specific style in the design of the characters.
In a new leak by an X account, the file size of Stellar Blade was revealed, which is a very small number for this kind of game that looks much bigger.
According to 0AOXO, the file size of this exclusive PS5 game will be just 35 GB in total, a very small number for a game that looks AAA. SHIFT UP or Sony has not confirmed this yet, but with the average AAA game size being 80 GB or more, this is not an encouraging number. Or the game is very well-compressed or will just be too short.
What Could this Mean for the Title?
The more alarming thing about this possible file size is that the game costs a full AAA title; in the PlayStation Store, Stellar Blade costs $69.99.
Currently, this information is just a rumor and has not been confirmed by any official means. The replies of players to this leak were not very good; they all practically said the same: this is a very small file size. A few of the players talked about a very good compression system.
