Following the reports surrounding Spider-Man 4, it would be fair to say that the Tom Holland franchise would have another installment, if not more. The third installment Spider-Man: No Way Home was the glorious jackpot for the Marvel Studios as the Jon Watts-directed movie went on to gross $1.922 billion at the global box office.

Mister Negative actor Stephen Oyoung was hailed by fans and gamers for his MCU role in the video game series. However, the actor wants to appear in the live-action Spider-Man 4. For fans, why not? A recent Cosmic Circus report exclusively stated that Spider-Man 4 will feature a villain who had never been adapted before and Oyoung responded to the new shared on X by the Spider-Man News handle. “What’s a guy gotta do?” the actor wrote on X.

“I don’t have powerful backing. I am not a member of BTS. I never won an award. I am not a trend setter or Asian Am[erican] history maker. I was not on Beef. I don’t know Michelle Yeoh. I have been on the grind in this biz for almost twenty years. I only know kung fu and have a dream,” Oyoung continued.

While being curious about the next Spider-Man villain, fans hailed the actor. With a majority of positive responses, the actor might hit the big league, a breakthrough role he is in utter need of. For fans, Oyoung as Mister Negative in a live-action would be a delight to watch, and expect the same from Marvel.

Following the recent interviews of the actor on his breakthrough titular character, it is evident that Holland is jaded with his MCU role protecting his career. The protector also chokes the actor as he feels the deprivation of roles beyond the MCU canon. Still, he is not completely off to play the titular hero but it sure made him drowsy. While addressing his recent Apple TV Plus show, The Crowded Room, the actor reflected on his MCU character.

“I got so used to the Marvel machine and the safety blanket of Spider-Man, feeling like I was protected. So, doing something like this was incredibly scary, but because it was so scary, it was so fulfilling and so rewarding. Going forward, if there’s something that I feel like I can’t do, I want to do that one. Playing a sort of stupid English doofus is not what I want to do because that’s my life, right?” Holland told The Hollywood Reporter.

At this stage, the progress of the development of Spider-Man 4 is hard to predict. It is still very early but the Marvel Studios is very keen on bringing another installment to rock the screen. Spider-Man: No Way Home is available for rent on Apple TV.
