But Cruise revealed that he was just joking with everyone on set and wasn’t actually planning on cutting his locks off like that. However, the actor really did do his hair and makeup on the sets. His co-star and rumored ex-girlfriend Hayley Atwell confirmed this and said:

“There was, at one point, I think that he was doing his own hair and makeup because we were in the middle of the pandemic. He was moving massive props just trying to help out to save time.”

“I kept telling him to just kick me. I was squeezing abs and said ‘You can just go for it’, but he was like ‘No, no, no, no, no’. I was like ‘It’s going to help me’, but he wouldn’t do it.”
