Much to the disappointment of his fans, Pascal didn’t win any individual honor despite earning nominations in two categories, Best Lead Actor in a Drama Series for The Last of Us and Best Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for Saturday Night Live.

However, the Chilean-American star still won plenty of hearts with his choice of date for the event.

Pedro Pascal graced the red carpet at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards in the midst of plenty of camera flashes, as he headed into the ceremony with two major nominations under his belt.

In particular, the 48-year-old was in the running for the best lead actor award for his compelling performance in The Last of Us, wherein he played Joel, a dreaded smuggler who joins hands with a young apprentice (Bella Ramsey) in a post-apocalyptic world.

However, it wasn’t his performance in the show that got fans talking during and after the event. Instead, it was his decision to attend the Emmys with his younger sister, trans actress and model Lux Pascal. Many fans took the opportunity to praise Pedro for supporting his family.

Pedro has always been supportive of his sister’s life choices, insisting she is and has always been one of the most powerful people and personalities he has ever known (via Esquire).

As far as making fashion headlines is concerned, the brother-sister pair looked absolutely fabulous in their matching all-black ensembles.

Pedro Pascal Made a Hilarious Kieran Culkin Joke at the Emmys

Another reason why Pascal has been in the headlines during the awards season is his black sling, which was part of his look on the Emmys red carpet. He wore the sling at the 2024 Golden Globes as well.

Explaining the reason behind wearing the arm sling, the Narcos star joked that he injured his shoulder because “Kieran Culkin beat the sh-t out of me.” 

When the camera panned to Kieran Culkinthe Succession star gave a cold look, suggesting he was also in on the joke.

However, Culkin did beat Pascal in the race to the Emmy award for Best Actor, taking home the award for his absorbing portrayal of Roman Roy in Jesse Armstrong’s satirical comedy-drama television series.
