Helldivers 2 features over 50 Stratagems divided into 6 different categories that aid players while they fight the Automaton and Terminid factions on the battlefield. As The Second Galactic War kicks off, players have been fighting hard on the battlefield to keep things under control. In such circumstances, players need new Stratagems. It is often difficult to take out enemies with armor on the battlefield and this Stratagem concept called Suicide Drone will come in handy while taking down these units.
This Suicide Drone can be deployed and it will locate the enemy with the highest armor on the battlefield, ultimately exploding by ramming into it. However, like most Stratagems, this comes with some limitations. The drone will follow fast fast-paced enemies as well, which means that if these enemies are around the player or their teammates, it will kill them as well.
The Suicide Drone Stratagem could be a useful addition to Helldivers 2
Currently, Helldivers 2 players can use two types of drones in the game: AX/LAS-5 “Guard Dog” Rover and AX/AR-23 “Guard Dog.” These autonomous drones are equipped with weapons and are designed to give players 360° cover on the battlefield. While these drones are helpful, Arrowhead can take things to the next level by adding a Suicide Drone.
The Suicide Drone is a Stratagem concept that allows players to deploy an autonomous drone that explodes on impact. As the name suggests, this drone will locate enemies and sacrifice itself to take them down. The drone’s primary target will be enemies with the highest armor rating on the battlefield but it can also be used against hordes of small enemies.
The Suicide Drone Stratagem must be used wisely
This concept Stratagem is balanced and must be used with caution as it can also bring players down as well. Some enemies in the game are fast-paced and if the drone locks onto these enemies, players will be blown into pieces before they even release it as the drone would follow the enemy even if it is close to the player or their teammates. If used correctly, this drone is capable of taking down many big units, allowing players to save their resources and focus on the objective.
This Stratagem will be a helpful addition to the game as the Second Galactic War has escalated. Players were not able to complete a recent Major Order and that triggered the war. Now, players are advised to prepare themselves for a big threat. The failed Major Order would’ve rewarded the players with a new Stratagem called MD-17 Anti-Tank Mines but since players were only able to complete 78% of the goal, this Stratagem has been shelved for now.
