Every gamer knows what it is like to explore an open-world game; you feel constrained and want to explore the world you are in, and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League knows this all too well, and those who are looking to explore a bit farther than they are allowed will encounter a slight problem.
Usually, in a game, there will always be some kind of barrier or verbal cue that will stop the player from exiting the map. Games like Genshin Impact will actively stop the player and turn them around, whereas some games will purposely put an object in your way so that you physically can’t walk by.
Gamers Are Trying to Push the Boundaries Within Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, and It Doesn’t Go Their Way.
When playing a video game, there will always be some gamers who are looking to explore the unexplorable, and this causes players to find out some of the secrets that game developers are hiding behind these locked locations.
During main missions, players are restricted to following a set path so that they can enjoy the story without being hindered by open-world situations. However, many gamers who are playing through these missions will discover open-world objectives and secrets that they want to collect, but Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has something else in mind.
As you attempt to leave the mission area, you will begin to notice that your screen will start getting weird, sort of like static. Along with this, players will also hear the voice of an ARGUS agent as they tell the member of the Suicide Squad that is fleeing to head back to the mission area.
If the player continues to try and leave the mission area, a rather funny and seriously unethical scene takes place. Just like in comics and films, the Suicide Squad members have bombs implanted in their necks, which can be triggered to explode if they do not follow orders.
Once the player moves too far out of the mission area, the bomb in their neck will be triggered, which causes their body to explode in gory passion. For many reasons, this could be taken as a failed attempt at escaping, but in a game like this, it is just another Tuesday.
Whether You Are Happy with Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League or Not, You Can’t Argue That This Isn’t Accurate.
Even though there have been a few bumps in the road for Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, there is definitely an argument that it has managed to keep the game as accurate as it can towards the story of the Suicide Squad.
This isn’t the first time we have seen characters from the Suicide Squad die to the bomb in their necks, as the films portray this exact circumstance just as well, but in the films, we only see their heads explode, whereas in the game we see their entire body get atomized.
As much fun as it is to see the Suicide Squad blow up just because we accidentally adventured too far out of the mission area while traversing and enjoying the ‘open world‘. So far, players have been enjoying this new feature and are hoping that more game developers follow suit with Rocksteady in terms of this feature.
Other games may struggle to follow suit with Rocksteady, as there aren’t many games that are able to use lore in this way to restrict players from heading too far out into the wide world that is open to them to explore.
