Fans of Solo Leveling have another exciting piece of news to look forward to from the series as a well-known voice actor from the critically acclaimed franchise Jujutsu Kaisen has been confirmed as an official cast member of the currently airing Solo Leveling anime. 

This voice actor is none other than the renowned Junichi Suwabe, who is best known for his portrayal of Ryomen Sukuna in Jujutsu Kaisen. Suwabe will voice the character of a major villain in the series: Hwang Dongsoo, a powerful S-rank hunte­r from Korea whose current base of operation is in America.

Who is Junichi Suwabe?

Junichi Suwabe is a voice actor based in Tokyo, Japan. According to MyAnimeList Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez in Bleach, Omega Zero in Megaman Zero 3, Keigo Atobe in The Prince of Tennis, Victor Nikiforov in Yuri!!! on ICE, Freed Justine in Fairy Tail, Yami Sukehiro in Black Clover, Ryomen Sukuna in Jujutsu Kaisen, Archer in Fate/Stay Night, and many more are among his well-known roles. 

He has also played the characters of Ren Jinguji from Uta no Prince-sama, the Undertaker from Black Butler, Leone Abbacchio from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, and Nobuhiko Okamoto and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka from Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma Black Chocolate Cookie in Cookie Run: Kingdom, and Shoei Barou in Blue Lock

Junichi Suwabe Will Play Hwang Dongsoo in Solo Leveling

Junichi Suwabe assumes the role of voicing Hwang Dongsoo, the vicious S-Rank Hunter who is firmly intent on vengeance against Jinho and Jinwoo. Solo Leveling fans would be thrilled to have him as a prominent opposition character in the negative role for the development of the story in the future.

Hwang Dongsoo is the younger brother of Hwang Dongsuk, the very same guy who had been murdered by Sung Jinwoo during the dungeon raid, and he had already made a brief appearance at the end of Solo Leveling’s seventh episode. In the subsequent installments of the anime series, he will play a significant part as Jinwoo’s enemy.

Fans are excited to see how Suwabe is going to portray another iconic role in Solo Leveling and whether will he be able to give a great performance just like he did with the King of Curses. Fans eagerly wait for Solo Leveling’s eighth episode which is scheduled to release on March 2.
