The Axis Unseen Left a Solid Impression on Players During the Summer Game Fest

During the recent Summer Game Fest, a few gamers got to try their hand at The Axis Unseen‘s demo, which covered much of the game’s intro. When we sat down to discuss the game with Nate, his experience and vision for the game spoke massively on his behalf. Now, seeing the positive reactions to the demo, it’s clear that this game is quite a gem in the making.

Clearly happy with the positive reception, Nate shared his thoughts on the same while dropping a bit more information on the game design:

It is clear that each encounter in the game will be absolutely memorable. Thanks to Nate’s creativity, the horror elements are dialed up to eleven to create a genuinely immersive and terrifying experience.

But it melted one person’s brain, though? One can only imagine what the synesthesia of engaging in deadly battles with nightmarish creatures using a bow and arrow as heavy metal music syncs to your actions and roars to prop you up in the background would be like.

Here Are a Few Reasons Why the Axis Unseen May Deserve Your Undivided Attention

After The Axis Unseen's recent nightmare-filled trailer, the excitement is going through the roof.

Making a video game all by oneself is an arduous task. Given that, Nate’s journey from a Bethesda artist to a solo developer is nothing short of inspiring. Even with his past experiences and family supporting him, it is still commendable of him to create a game of this caliber.

By creating The Axis Unseen almost entirely on his own, he proves that indie developers and their honest, artistic endeavors should be supported much more, especially when the industry seems mired in cynicism and bad business practices.

Yet, that’s not all—The Axis Unseen is staged to be one of the indie hits of 2024 because it simply looks like a good video game, from its game design, immersive world, intricate enemy design, soundtrack, and atmospheric setting.
