The TikTok account, “Super Earth Broadcast,” was created by a fan named Finnegan, who made it after he was unable to find regular updates about the galactic battle in Helldivers 2. The account has been giving updates to fellow Helldivers who are unable to keep up with the game, and this soon went viral.

Super Earth Broadcast account holder Finnegan makes it possible to give updates by regularly playing the game, and working for a few hours on the account. Finnegan revealed to Polygon via Discord that he doesn’t prepare a script for the channel to provide updates on Helldivers 2. He said:

“I don’t really prepare a script. I look at the galactic map and see what the current situation is and what I assume will happen next, based on previous campaigns. All of the clips I use are my own.

Finnegan has over 200 hours of playtime and is casually hopping into the game to see what’s going on, retrieves the clips for the next update, and starts working on it. Super Earth Broadcast currently has over 300,000 followers and over 937,000 views.

There are 35 videos in total right now, providing updates on the game’s server issues and fixes, tips and tricks for combat, popular armor sets in the Superstore, and in-lore announcements for players.

Finnegan said to Polygon that he uses “generative AI” to make voice clips for the videos and is doing it all by himself with no intention of taking any help. The community is also helping out Finnegan if he misses something or is unable to log in to Helldivers 2.

He also added that he did not expect to get 200,000 followers so quickly, and it has only grown in the last week to over 300,000. A website has also been made to share in-depth updates with blogs written by volunteer writers, and it currently has more than 2,500 users.

The account might soon move to Twitch due to its growing popularity. Still, Finnegan is not worried about the channel’s popularity, and he only wants to provide updates due to the dedicated Helldivers.
